The Armed Forces of Ukraine have identified problems with the training of new recruits: there are first solutions

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced that eight military units have lost the right to independently conduct basic combined-arms training. This decision was made after inspections that took place in 72 units in May.

This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to him, high-quality training of military personnel remains one of the main priorities of the Ukrainian army, because it is on it that the lives of soldiers at the front often depend.

Syrsky noted that training programs are constantly changing in accordance with the realities of war. In particular, recruits are already being trained to detect and destroy enemy helicopters and FPV drones.

At the same time, according to him, not only the training program itself plays a decisive role, but also the attitude of commanders towards personnel.

“Where commanders take care of their subordinates, improve living conditions, develop the training base, where instructors accompany recruits and maintain constant feedback, there is a higher quality of training and fewer cases of voluntary abandonment of units,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.

Based on the results of the inspections, the command made a number of decisions. Some units lost the right to independently conduct basic training, and individual brigades and regiments were instructed to review their approaches to training recruits, improve conditions, and strengthen personnel training.

“There are no untouchables. The quality of training of military personnel must meet uniform high standards,” Syrsky emphasized.

He added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to improve the basic training system, work on the adaptation of mobilized personnel in training centers and combat units, and strengthen the psychological training of military personnel and measures to prevent unauthorized abandonment of units.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the effectiveness of performing combat missions and preserving the lives of Ukrainian military personnel directly depends on the quality of training today.
