The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has simplified the procedure for the return of servicemen after they have abandoned their unit.
This is stated in the relevant post of the department.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has eliminated intermediate links in document processing, including the army corps and operational command. Now, appointment documents are submitted directly from the military unit to the General Staff.
“These steps will speed up appointments, make the process more transparent, and eliminate manipulation by individual officials,” the General Staff explains.
It is noted that the new mechanism does not change the conditions for returning to service after leaving a unit without permission, but offers a more democratic approach to transferring servicemen to their desired unit.
Letters of recommendation are now becoming electronic and should not be used to transfer from combat brigades to more “comfortable” positions.
In addition, the General Staff is reducing document flow to speed up personnel decisions regarding military transfers.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is working on a package of changes that will concern mobilization, unauthorized abandonment of a unit (SZCh), as well as service conditions for stormtroopers and infantrymen.
As reported, starting April 1, the procedure for notifying those liable for military service in Ukraine is changing – electronic summonses can be received online in the user’s account.
