The Armed Forces of Ukraine have regained control over part of Vovchansk – military

The defense forces managed to regain control over part of the streets in Vovchansk that were previously controlled by the Russian occupiers.

This was stated by the company commander of the 57th brigade, Oleg Kryzhanivskyi, reports “Suspilne Kharkiv”.

As he noted, with the help of FPV drones that destroy opponents and large UAVs that drop ammunition, it was possible to achieve results without colliding with enemy infantry.

In addition, the Shkval special battalion destroyed a significant number of occupiers. This affected the advance of the Russian army.

“Among the successful operations can also be called the safe replacement of personnel on the battlefield. We try to replace soldiers on the front line as often as possible, if the situation allows,” the military officer added.

Now, the soldiers have managed to stabilize the operational situation in Vovchansk and in the territories west of the city — in the forests. This became possible after setting up additional blocking lines and creating an echeloned defense.

At the same time, the company commander noted that the Russians were not giving up their attempts to advance — and were infiltrating deep into the area in small groups.

In particular, the enemy is trying to infiltrate settlements near Vovchansk — Synelnykovo, Lyman, Vilcha, and Symynivka.

The main task of infiltration groups is surveillance. However, after accumulating a certain number, they can inflict losses on Ukrainian units in the near rear.

“Currently, countering enemy infiltration is the main task of our infantry units,” Kryzhanivskyi emphasized.

Recall, in February, the spokesman for the Joint Forces Group, Viktor Tregubov, stated that the situation in Vovchansk had become more complicated , because the Russians had been pressing there for a very long time, and the distance to the border was minimal.

By the way, the Defense Forces recently denied information about the alleged advance of Russian troops in Vovchansk and Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.
