The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled 126 attacks by the invaders since the beginning of the day: which directions are the hottest?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 PM on January 18, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total , 126 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting fire damage on it.
The Russian invaders carried out 78 air strikes, dropping 199 guided bombs. In addition, they used 5,355 kamikaze drones to destroy the positions of our troops and settlements and carried out 2,985 attacks.
One attack by the invaders took place in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out one air strike, dropping two guided bombs, and carried out 87 attacks, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
Today, the enemy attacked 10 times in the Yuzhno-Slobozhansk direction, in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, and in the direction of Grafske, Nesterny, and Krughly. Two clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried five times to displace our units from the positions they occupied in the Pishchanye area and towards Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Borivska Andriivka.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled four assault actions in the Yampol area and towards the settlements of Stavky and Oleksandrivka. One clash is ongoing.
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the area of the settlement of Pazeno and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.
There were 15 combat clashes in the Kostyantynivka direction today. The enemy tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillya, Kleban-Byk and towards Berestok, Stepanivka, Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy has attacked 39 times in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, and in the direction of Filia and Novopavlivka.
Today, according to preliminary data, 106 occupiers have been neutralized in this direction, of which 64 have been irretrievably destroyed. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed four vehicles, two ATVs, 35 unmanned aerial vehicles, nine communication antennas, an electronic warfare device, three control points, two UAV control points, and three shelters for enemy personnel. They also hit one artillery system, six vehicles, two electronic warfare devices, and 12 shelters for enemy personnel.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks by the invaders towards Ivanivka, Novy Zaporizhzhia, and Radisne. The settlement of Khvyli was hit by an airstrike.
There were 16 clashes in the Hulyaipol direction, in the areas of the settlements of Hulyaipol, Zelene and towards Varvarivka and Dobropillya. Two of them are currently ongoing. Hulyaipol, Vozdvizhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Zaliznychne, Dolynka were under enemy airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy twice tried to break through our defenses near the settlement of Plavni. The settlements of Zhovta Krucha and Tavriyske were hit by airstrikes.
No enemy offensive actions have been recorded in the Dnieper direction at this time.
There were no significant changes in the situation in other areas.
