The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Lukoil refinery in Kstov: the General Staff confirmed the attack

On the night of August 26, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the facilities of the oil refinery of LLC “Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez” in Kstov, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russia.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the agency, the target was confirmed to have been hit. After the strike, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
The extent of the damage to the plant is currently being determined.
Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in Russia and is part of the Lukoil group.
The plant’s capacity is about 17 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces automobile gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, sulfur and other petroleum products.
In particular, the plant is also involved in meeting the needs of the Russian army.
“Work on key enemy targets continues,” the General Staff emphasized.
It was previously reported that on the night of Wednesday, August 26, drones attacked the Nizhny Novgorod and Tambov regions of the Russian Federation. In Kstov, according to preliminary data, a fire broke out at an oil refinery after the attack. At the same time, a large Wildberries logistics center caught fire in Kotovsk.
