The Ukrainian Defense Forces’ aviation launched a series of strikes on Russian troop concentrations in Pokrovsk and surrounding settlements, killing and wounding about 30 occupiers.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military noted that a defensive operation is underway in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Russian troops are trying to turn Pokrovsk into a full-fledged logistics hub, transferring reserves, personnel, armored vehicles, vehicles, and artillery there.
In addition, the enemy is using civilian buildings and concrete shelters throughout the city to house personnel, launch drones, and conduct aerial reconnaissance.
To destroy the offensive potential of the Russian Federation, the Defense Forces aviation, in cooperation with units in the area of responsibility of the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Force, carried out a series of air strikes on enemy concentration areas.
In particular, in Pokrovsk itself, two points where Russian military personnel were accumulating were destroyed, which the occupiers used to launch the Molniya UAV and conduct aerial reconnaissance.
In the village of Rivne between Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, Ukrainian military personnel destroyed the location of personnel of one of the units of the 51st combined arms army of the Russian Federation.
According to preliminary information, about 30 Russian soldiers were killed and wounded as a result of the strikes.
It was previously reported that the Defense Forces struck enemy air defense and communications equipment, the Yastreb radar, and logistical facilities.
As a reminder, earlier, on May 12 and on the night of May 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important facilities of the Russian occupiers, in particular the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in the Krasnodar Territory.
