The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 480 sq km in the Oleksandrivka direction – Syrsky

The Ukrainian military has already liberated 480 square kilometers of territory in the Oleksandrivka direction.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, said this in an interview with the ICTV television channel.

According to him, this result exceeds the indicators of previous operations. In particular, during the Dobropil counter-offensive operation, Ukrainian forces liberated more than 430 square kilometers.

Syrsky noted that Russian troops planned to launch a large-scale offensive in 13 directions at once from March 1. However, due to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy was forced to change plans.

The occupiers transferred part of their forces from the Pokrovsky and Ocheretinsky directions to the Oleksandrivsky direction.

It was previously reported that during March 2026, the number of air targets destroyed by interceptor drones increased by more than half compared to February.

As a reminder, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the capture of another settlement – Kivsharivka in the Kharkiv region.
