The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Mali Shcherbaki in Zaporizhia region

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have regained control of the village of Mali Shcherbaki in Zaporizhia Oblast. This result was made possible thanks to clear interaction, determination, and coordinated work of the units.

This was reported by the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar” on social networks.

Ukrainian military personnel raised the national flag in the settlement through joint efforts of units of Aidar and the 33rd separate assault regiment.

“This success is the result of clear interaction, determination, and coordinated work of the units. Each such step is another page of our struggle, which continues every day, despite fatigue, risks, and losses,” the military said in a statement.

The village of Mali Shcherbaky is located on the Kamianske-Orikhov line. In early summer, Russian troops advanced towards this settlement, after which it was in a gray zone or under the control of the occupiers. Now the village has returned under the Ukrainian flag.

As is known, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations near Dobropillya in the Donetsk region despite enemy counterattacks. In total , since the beginning of the Dobropillya operation, the Defense Forces have managed to liberate 180.8 sq. km. of the territory of the Donetsk region , and 212.9 sq. km. of sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

In September, it was reported that the Defense Forces were conducting counteroffensive actions in the Dobropil direction, in particular , the advance of Ukrainian troops into the enemy’s territory was from 3 to 7 kilometers.
