The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 144 assaults by the Russian army in a day: where did the most clashes take place?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on January 19, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total , 144 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment, one command and observation post, and an electronic warfare station.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 112 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 316 guided bombs. In addition, 8,156 kamikaze drones were used to destroy them and 3,875 attacks were carried out on the positions of our troops and settlements, 70 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Khvyli, Mechetne, Pokrovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Verkhnia Tersa, Zhovta Krucha, Tavriyske, Vozdvizhivka, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipole, Dolynka, Svoboda, Rizdvyanka, Zirnytsia in the Zaporizhia region.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, one combat clash took place over the past day, the enemy carried out two air strikes, dropping three aerial bombs, and carried out 99 attacks, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, our troops stopped 10 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia and towards the settlements of Grafske, Nesterny, and Krughly.
Five attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the Pishchane area and towards Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Borivska Andriivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked four times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the Yampol area and towards the settlements of Stavky and Oleksandrivka.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Pazeno and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillya, Rusyn Yar, Kleban-Byk and towards Berestok, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, Torske.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 50 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Zatyshok, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Chervonyi Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards the settlements of Sergiyevka, Filiya, Kucheriv Yar, Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out five attacks yesterday, towards Ivanivka, Novy Zaporizhzhia, and Radisne.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 Russian attacks in the areas of Hulyaipil, Zelenye and towards Svyatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Dobropillya.
Two combat clashes took place in the Orikhiv direction, near the settlement of Plavni.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Dnieper direction.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
It is worth adding that in total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,020 people . Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 39 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 765 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level, 170 units of automotive equipment and one unit of special equipment.
