The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Shahed launch facility near Donetsk airport with ATACMS and SCALP missiles

In the area of Donetsk airport, the Ukrainian Defense Forces used ATACMS and SCALP missiles to hit a Russian military facility. This is a place where Shahed attack drones are stored, trained, and launched.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the strike on the facility was carried out by units of the Missile Forces and artillery of the Ground Forces in cooperation with the aviation of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After the attack, a large-scale fire and a secondary detonation were recorded at the scene.

In addition, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on March 6 and on the night of March 7 carried out a number of other strikes on the positions of Russian troops.

In particular, according to the General Staff, the occupiers’ drone control point in the Dibrova area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region was hit, as well as a command and observation point in the Kruglyakivka area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kharkiv region.

The Defense Forces also struck artillery installations of Russian troops at firing positions in the following areas:

• Tavilzhanka in the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv region;
• Voskresenki in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region;
• Novopavlivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

In addition, areas of concentration of Russian troops in the following settlements were hit:

• Novohryhorivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region;
• Railway in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region;
• Torske in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region;
• Sopych in the territory of Sumy region.

The General Staff noted that the extent of the damage and losses of Russian troops are currently being clarified.

By the way, on the night of March 6 , drones from the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked several Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea.

As previously reported, Special Operations Forces carried out a series of successful strikes on Russian army targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Southern and Eastern Ukraine.
