The Armed Forces of Ukraine thwarted attempts by Russians to cross the Seversky Donets River in the Donetsk region

Units of the 81st Separate Airmobile Slobozhansk Brigade record unsuccessful attempts by Russian troops to cross the Seversky Donets River. The enemy suffers losses and cannot gain a foothold in the coastal territory in the brigade’s area of responsibility.

This was reported by the press service of the unit.

The overall situation in the area of responsibility of the 81st Brigade remains tense. Russian troops are using small group tactics to infiltrate the settlement of Dronivka and are trying to bypass Ukrainian positions using the Siversk-Zakitne road.

Enemy activity has also been recorded from the Yampil settlement. According to the brigade, this mainly concerns attempts to transport manpower on motorized rubber boats across the Siverskyi Donets River and gain a foothold in the coastal territory.

In addition, the Russians are trying to bring up artillery and deploy drone operator deployment points near the northeastern outskirts of Dronivka and in the Serebryansk Forest.

The enemy’s main goal remains to take control of the coastal part of the Seversky Donets, in particular the settlements of Dronivka, Platonovka, and Zakytne. The enemy needs this to collect resources, deploy artillery positions and UAV units, and control logistics.

The brigade noted that Ukrainian units detect the enemy in advance and inflict damage on its manpower and static targets. Coordinated actions allow stopping the advance of Russian troops towards Dronivka and other settlements in the area of responsibility of the 81st brigade.
