“The best situation in the last 10 months”: Zelensky spoke about the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the improvement of the situation on the front, according to British intelligence. According to him, Ukraine has a positive balance between liberated and captured territories.
He said this while talking to journalists.
Zelensky noted that according to MI6 intelligence estimates, the current situation for Ukraine is the best in the last 10 months. He emphasized that if we compare the areas of the territories, Ukraine has gained about 20 square kilometers.
“The situation is difficult, but the best in the last 10 months. This is a fair conclusion. I am grateful to all our units that provide this,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president also explained the intensification of Russian assaults by weather conditions. According to him, fog and rain allow the occupiers to infiltrate in small groups.
“When there is fog, little sun, or rain, they sometimes infiltrate in one or another group. And when the weather is sunny, there are fewer of them,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He added that as weather conditions improve, the ability of Russian troops to operate stealthily is decreasing, although vegetation is partially helping them hide.
Separately, Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian intelligence is recording the accumulation of enemy forces in two directions, namely in Pokrovsky and Hulyaypil.
He noted that Russia’s planned offensive in March was thwarted, and the enemy is now switching to tactics of intensified assaults.
“So far, we do not see a global threat,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian troops advanced near Sloviansk and on the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical direction during March 31 and April 1. At the same time, Russian forces continue attacks and infiltration attempts on these sections of the front.
By the way, the Ukrainian military has already liberated 480 square kilometers of territory in the Oleksandrivka direction.
