The Cabinet of Ministers approved the appointment of Oleksandr Tsyvinsky to the position of Director of the Bureau of Economic Security.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko.
“Today, the Government decided to appoint Oleksandr Tsyvinsky as Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine,” Svyrydenko said.
She also added that after the decision of the competition commission, law enforcement checks, and Tsyvinsky’s polygraph test, there were no reservations regarding his candidacy for the position of director of BEB.
“We look forward to renewing the work of the Bureau, strengthening the institution, and achieving a significant level of trust between the Bureau and Ukrainian entrepreneurs. It is important that economic relations in Ukraine are not distorted by shadowy schemes and that business can count on respect from the state,” the Prime Minister noted.
Earlier, Oleksandr Tsyvinsky, who won the competition for the position of head of the Bureau of Economic Security, confirmed that he successfully passed the polygraph test .
As a reminder, the European Commission publicly defended the results of the competition for the position of head of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEU), which were canceled by the government . Brussels insists that Kyiv is obliged to adhere to a transparent appointment procedure, as this is part of its obligations to the EU on the path to membership.
As reported, Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko held a conversation with the candidate for the position of director of the Bureau of Economic Security, Oleksandr Tsyvinsky, stating that he would pass a polygraph test.
