Energy, utility, and transport infrastructure workers involved in emergency and restoration work will receive an additional 20,000 hryvnias from the state in addition to their salaries.

This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the relevant resolution as part of the government support package for the emergency situation in the energy sector. The supplement was intended for power engineers, heat and gas engineers, housing and communal services workers, and Ukrzaliznytsia, regardless of the form of ownership of the enterprises.

These are specialists who work directly as part of repair teams and travel to damaged facilities after shelling. They restore electricity, gas, heat and water supply, as well as the operation of gas infrastructure.

Accrual of additional payments will continue from January to March this year. Employees will receive the first funds for January in February. The government has simplified the mechanism for receiving assistance: enterprises will submit personal lists of repairmen, and each employee who is entitled to the payment will receive a notification via Diya or SMS.

The government emphasizes that these specialists work around the clock in difficult conditions, often under fire and with constant risk to their lives. It is their work that allows us to quickly restore light and heat to Ukrainian homes after massive attacks.

As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has introduced additional programs to support small and medium-sized businesses in the face of an emergency energy situation caused by Russian shelling.

Let us remind you that teachers of higher education institutions will receive a 40% salary increase starting in January, and the funds will be recalculated by the end of the month.
