On July 14, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The entire Cabinet of Ministers resigned along with the Prime Minister.

258 MPs voted for the relevant decision. One MP spoke against it, and five more abstained.

Yulia Svyrydenko submitted her resignation to parliament the day before. The upcoming personnel changes became known on July 12, when President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of a government renewal and announced a new direction for Svyrydenko.

Upon the dismissal of the Prime Minister, the entire Cabinet of Ministers will automatically resign. At the same time, government officials will continue to perform their duties in an acting capacity until a new Cabinet is formed.

The Verkhovna Rada is expected to appoint a new Prime Minister on July 16.

After the vote, Yulia Svyrydenko thanked everyone for their joint work.

“It was an honor to work for Ukraine!” she wrote on social media.

As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a change in the state’s political strategy and announced personnel changes in the government and law enforcement agencies . According to him, the update should ensure the implementation of new domestic and foreign policy priorities.

As a reminder, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko is not currently planning to head the Ukrainian embassy in the United States . Despite previous reports of such a possibility, she is not considering this position for herself.
