The High Anti-Corruption Court extended part of the procedural obligations of former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, who is suspected of corruption, for another two months. However, the court did not extend the requirement to wear an electronic bracelet.
The Anti-Corruption Action Center reported this.
Galushchenko must remain in Kyiv and the surrounding region and not leave without court permission. He is also required to surrender his passports before traveling abroad.
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
Furthermore, NABU and SAP also reported a new suspect as part of Operation Midas. The former executive director for physical protection and security at JSC NNEGC Energoatom is suspected of money laundering.
The NABU also filed charges against six more participants in the “Midas” case. They are suspected of laundering criminally obtained property on an especially large scale.
