The court arrested the deputy of the “Servant of the People” party Kuznetsov and set bail at eight million

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court sent Oleksiy Kuznetsov, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, detained by the NABU and SAPO, to custody for 60 days with the possibility of bail.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

“On Monday, August 4, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court applied a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days to the People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation. As an alternative, the court set bail in the amount of 8,003,004 hryvnias,” the report says.

In the event of posting bail, the suspect is required to:

• • to appear before the investigator, prosecutor, investigating judge, or court upon each request;

• • not to leave the borders of Kyiv and Kyiv region without the permission of the investigator, prosecutor or court;

• • notify the investigator, prosecutor or court about a change in their place of residence and/or place of work;

• • to refrain from communicating with the persons specified in the investigating judge’s ruling;

• • to deposit with the relevant state authorities their passport(s) for travel abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine;

• • wear an electronic monitoring device.

Recall that People’s Deputy Kuznetsov is suspected of involvement in corruption schemes during the procurement of drones and electronic warfare equipment.

Previously, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office exposed a corruption scheme for the purchase of drones and electronic warfare equipment .

By the way, Volodymyr Ariev, a member of parliament from the European Solidarity faction, reported that officials from the Ministry of Defense continue to embezzle budget funds through shell companies , which is why many foreign suppliers refuse to cooperate.
