The court did not remove Chernyshev from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security

The High Anti-Corruption Court did not remove Alexey Chernyshev from his post as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity.

This is reported by correspondents from the courtroom.

Chernyshev is suspected of abuse of office and accepting a bribe on an especially large scale while serving as Minister of Community and Territorial Development in 2020-2022.

On July 27, the court set Chernyshev’s bail at 120 million hryvnia. Yesterday, the lawyer said that the money had not been paid and they were planning to appeal the court’s decision.

The NABU noted that they will file a petition for detention if bail is not posted within five days of the court’s decision.

Let us recall that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office conducted searches at the current Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Chernyshev .

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers made a statement about Chernyshev’s departure, stating thatthe minister was on a working trip to European countries , which would last until the end of the week.

By the way, Vladimir Zelensky also reported that Minister Chernyshev is on a business trip abroad , after which he will return to Ukraine.

As journalists found out, Chernyshev’s family left the country : his son left Ukraine on June 19, and his wife the next day.
