Today, February 17, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.

Thus, by the decision of the judge, Galushchenko, who is a suspect in the Midas corruption case, was taken into custody for 60 days – until April 15.

At the same time, the court allowed the defendant to post bail in the amount of 200 million hryvnias. If the money is paid, Galushchenko will be prohibited from traveling outside the Kyiv region and communicating with other defendants in the case, in particular Mindich, Zukerman, Myronyuk, and Basov.

In addition, the former minister will be required to change his place of residence, wear an electronic bracelet, and hand over all his documents that give him the right to travel abroad.

Later, the SAPO confirmed that Galushchenko had been taken into custody.

“The court partially granted the motion and applied a preventive measure to the suspect in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 200 million hryvnias,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

It was previously reported that on the night of February 15, NABU and SAPO detained former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko while attempting to cross the border.

Subsequently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau confirmed the detention of former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko while attempting to travel abroad.
