The creators of “The Office” are back with a new series: the trailer for “The Paper” has been released

The Peacock platform has released the official trailer for the comedy series “The Paper” – a spin-off of the cult “The Office”. The new show tells the story of the daily life of the small editorial office of the Toledo Truth Teller newspaper and promises viewers a familiar style and humor.

The plot centers on new editor-in-chief Ned Sampson, who tries to reform the newspaper and combat budget cuts. However, his ideas do not always find support among the staff. The series premieres on September 4 .

Greg Daniels and Michael Coman served as showrunners, executive producers, and writers, with Ricky Gervais, creator of the original British series The Office, also joining the team.

The new series stars:
Donall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciotore, Oscar Nunez, Chelsea Frey, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman and others.

Recall that “The Office” was released on NBC in 2005 and became one of the most successful comedy series in the world. It has 9 seasons and has won over 50 awards, including five Emmys and a Golden Globe.
