The Czech Republic has transferred 10 ALTO NG aircraft to Ukraine for training military pilots

Ukraine has received ten ALTO NG training aircraft. They will help train new military pilots in Ukraine, reduce training costs, and accelerate the training of pilots to fly modern Western fighter jets.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The new aircraft will be used for initial and advanced flight training. Future pilots will practice aircraft control, flying in various conditions, navigation, and takeoff and landing procedures in accordance with NATO standards.

In addition, ALTO NG will be an important step before Ukrainian pilots transition to modern Western combat aircraft. It is on these aircraft that they will be able to practice the necessary skills before starting fighter training.

The Ministry of Defense notes that light-engine aircraft are much cheaper to operate than combat aircraft. This will allow training more pilots without unnecessary costs and at the same time improve the quality of training.

Half of the aircraft were received by Ukraine with the support of the Czech government. Another five were donated by the Dárek pro Putina charity foundation, which raised funds for their purchase from Czech citizens.

The ministry emphasizes that the appearance of such aircraft makes it possible to develop its own flight crew training system. This reduces dependence on training abroad, saves resources, and allows for faster training of new pilots for the Air Force.

The Ministry of Defense thanked the Air Force Capabilities Coalition, the Czech government, the Dárek pro Putina foundation, and all Czech citizens who participated in the transfer of aircraft to Ukraine.

It was previously reported thatUkraine will receive 15,000 long-range artillery shells from Denmark . Part of this shipment has already arrived in the country, and the rest will be transferred in the near future.

As a reminder, Sweden has transferred specialized equipment to Ukraine for servicing military airfields . The new equipment should improve runway maintenance and ensure uninterrupted aviation operations.
