The deadline for returning to service on the SHF expires on August 30

The State Bureau of Investigation has called on servicemen who have left their units without permission to take advantage of a simplified mechanism for returning to service, as this initiative expires on August 30, 2025.

This is stated in the State Bureau of Investigation’s report.

According to the current legislation, military personnel who left the unit before May 10, 2025 or who have a suspension of service may be released from criminal liability by a court decision. Upon returning to the military unit, they will be able to extend their service and receive a resumption of all payments – cash, food, clothing and other support.

According to the Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Alexey Sukhachev, more than 29 thousand servicemen have already returned to service since the mechanism came into effect on November 29, 2024. The department urged not to delay the decision, because after the expiration of the procedure for applying benefits, a return without consequences will become impossible.

By the way, during the period from November 29, 2024 to March 1, 2025 , almost 21,100 servicemen returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Border Service.
