The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on October 5, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 192 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders are resolutely repelling the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting fire damage on it.
Today, Russian forces launched a massive missile and air strike with 53 missiles and 40 air strikes, dropping 77 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,862 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,983 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven assault actions of the invaders, and another clash is still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out three air strikes, dropping seven guided bombs, and also carried out 123 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 29 times in the areas of Vovchanskiye Khutory, Odradne, Bologivka, Kutkivka, Krasny Pershy, Kamyanka, and Zapadne. Six clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor carried out offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk and Petropavlivka. Ukrainian defenders stopped six enemy attacks, and one clash is still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces nine times near the settlements of Seredne, Novoselivka, Karpivka, Torske and towards Cherneshchyna and Drobysheve. Fighting does not cease in one location.
Nine assaults by enemy troops were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siverskyi direction – the occupiers tried to advance near Yampol, Hryhorivka, Viyimka, and Fedorivka. One clash is ongoing.
Our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Chasovy Yar and Stupochy in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Torets direction, the Russians launched 15 offensives against the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Oleksandro-Kalynovoye, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbinivka, Rusyny Yar, and Poltavka. The defense forces stopped 12 enemy attacks, and three more clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovske direction, since the beginning of the day, the invaders have tried to advance on the positions of Ukrainian units 39 times. The enemy attacked in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Sukhetske, Zvirovo, Nykanorivka, Zoloty Kolodyaz, Rodynske, Chervony Lyman, Myrolyubivka, Novoekonomichne, Kozatske, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and in the direction of Pokrovske and Filiya. Five clashes are still ongoing.
According to preliminary data, 133 occupiers were neutralized in this direction today, 83 of them irreversibly. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed a tank, two armored combat vehicles, two units of automotive equipment, four unmanned aerial vehicles, two units of special equipment; two control points for unmanned aerial vehicles, two units of special equipment, and one enemy cannon were damaged.
In the Novopavlivske direction, the enemy tried 39 times to break through the defenses of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Myrne, Piddubne, Novoselivka, Sichneve, Novoyehorivka, Ternove, Sosnivka, Komyshuvakha, Vorone, Maliivka, Berezove, Kalynivske, Novomykolaivka, Novohryhorivka. Fighting continues in seven locations.
In the Hulyaipil direction, four combat clashes were recorded near the settlement of Poltavka. The settlement of Zaliznychne was hit by an airstrike.
Five combat engagements took place in the Orikhiv direction – the enemy tried to advance near the settlements of Stepove and Plavni. The enemy launched an air strike on the area of the settlement of Zaporizhzhia.
In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units repelled two enemy assaults in the direction of the Antonivka Bridge. The settlement of Antonivka was under air strikes.
In the remaining directions – no significant changes.
