US President Donald Trump said that the end of the war in Ukraine started by Russia is supposedly approaching.

He said this in an interview with WABC, quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

In his view, the war in Ukraine is a major international conflict that must stop immediately.

Trump noted that there are many casualties during war, so he would like it to be over.

“We have peace in the Middle East. Just think… and now, on top of that, we have a peace council… Most of the wars are over. Almost all of them. I didn’t know there were eight when I ran, but I ended up stopping them – eight wars, and now I think there’s a ninth one coming up,” the US leader assured.

However, he again noted that earlier it seemed easier to him to end the war in Ukraine.

Recall that trilateral negotiations were held in the UAE with the participation of the United States, Ukraine, and Russia, the next round will be held on February 1 in Abu Dhabi. The parties will continue discussions after previous meetings , which the American side called productive.

As noted, the war in Ukraine could end by the fall of 2026 if Ukrainian forces survive the winter and emerge in the spring with an advantage over the Russian occupiers.
