The end of October will be turbulent: scientists warn of a magnetic storm

Geomagnetic activity is expected to increase on Earth in late October. A G1-level magnetic storm is forecast for October 31, and closer to the end of the month it may briefly intensify to G2.

This was reported by the British Geological Survey.

According to experts, geomagnetic activity will begin to increase on October 30. A weak G1-level magnetic storm is expected the next day.

At the same time, scientists do not rule out that by the end of the month, activity will increase to the G2 level. This corresponds to a moderate magnetic storm.

The exact duration of the phenomenon has not yet been determined. According to preliminary forecasts, it will be short-lived, and the geomagnetic situation should stabilize in early November.
