The enemy attacked the Kherson CHPP with artillery and drones all day long — Naftogaz

The Russian occupation army continues to attack the CHP in Kherson using artillery and drones.

This was reported by the Naftogaz group.

In particular, the company emphasized that over the past 24 hours, the shelling almost did not stop – the enemy struck throughout the day.

In this way, the Russians seek to eliminate the possibility of restoring damaged equipment at the facility and complicate further repair work.

As noted, the Kherson CHP provided heat to tens of thousands of city residents, being the only source of heat supply.

Currently, they are trying to provide the city with alternative sources of heat.

“This week, Naftogaz Group will deliver another batch of aid to the city — an additional 950 gas heaters along with cylinders. Other measures are also being taken to ensure backup supply. The heat situation in Kherson is one of the most critical,” noted Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

As a reminder, in late December, Russian troops carried out artillery shelling of the Kherson thermal power plant . As a result of the attack, one of the company’s employees was injured and hospitalized.
