The enemy destroyed the positions of the Defense Forces and went on the offensive: what is known about the battles in Kamianske

In the settlement of Kamianske in the Zaporizhia direction, the Defense Forces are trying to regain lost positions.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during the telethon.

He noted that the village is located near Zaporizhia — 25-30 kilometers from the outskirts of the city.

“Today there is an enemy in Kamianske, but the Defense Forces are also in this settlement,” the spokesman assured.

As he explained, Kamianske was previously divided into two parts by a river. One was occupied by the enemy, the other by the military of the Defense Forces.

However, enemy air and artillery strikes destroyed the positions of the Ukrainian defenders, and they retreated to the outskirts of the village.

Currently, Ukrainian defense forces are working to regain control over the lost territories.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine are continuing their recovery operations in the settlement. We are trying to recapture the positions we lost, and hopefully we will knock out the enemy. After all, the Defense Forces are trying quite vigorously to recapture these positions,” Voloshyn added.

Subsequently, Oleksandr Syrskyi informed that in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces achieved partial success – the enemy was pushed out of positions in Kamiansky and Plavny. In response to the threat, a decision was made to strengthen the grouping of Ukrainian troops in the region.
