The enemy continues to gradually penetrate Pokrovsk, increasing its presence with infantry units and increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions.
This was reported by analysts of the Ukrainian OSINT community Deep State.
It is noted that the first attempts at infiltration began back in July of this year. Then the enemy conducted a large-scale sabotage operation, after which it actively searched for weaknesses in the city’s defense system and used artillery and air strikes to destroy Ukrainian logistics.
According to intelligence, the enemy has found vulnerable areas in the areas of Zviriv, Shevchenko and along the railway line from Kotlyne to Pokrovsk. At the same time, he uses numerical superiority and exploits gaps in the defense on the southern outskirts of the city. For some time, the enemy was helped by disinformation from individual commanders, which complicated the defense.
A significant number of enemy infantrymen have already infiltrated Pokrovsk, and their sabotage and reconnaissance activity is increasing. The enemy is conducting ambushes, mining roads, attacking rear units, and monitoring the movement of Ukrainian troops using drones. On the southern outskirts of the city, the enemy has already deployed its own UAV operators, who are striking positions and disrupting supplies.
The key problem remains the disruption of logistics in the direction of Myrnograd and other parts of the agglomeration. Enemy drones effectively track the movements of Ukrainian units and supplies, contributing to the gradual control of the city.
Experts emphasize that it is critically important not to limit ourselves to small sweeps. To deter the enemy, it is necessary to fully block his routes of advance and organize a large-scale operation by brigade forces, not small groups of special forces. Otherwise, the risk of the city being occupied remains high, and it will be extremely difficult to restore control.
Let us remind you that the day before, Russian occupiers broke through to the outskirts of Myrnograd in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
As reported, over the past 24 hours, 148 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Pokrovsky direction remains the hottest.
