The enemy is preparing offensives in the Pokrov and Zaporizhia directions – Syrsky

The Russian occupiers are planning new offensives in the Pokrov and Zaporizhia directions.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

“Now the enemy is regrouping and concentrating on two main directions. This is the Pokrovsky direction, which remains decisive for the Russians. And now the enemy is transferring its units from the Sumy to the Zaporizhia direction. That is, this will be the second direction in which the enemy plans to launch active offensive actions,” the commander-in-chief noted.

Currently, low-intensity fighting is ongoing in the Zaporizhia direction, but Russian troops are trying to deliver a strike there that was planned a year ago. Syrsky noted that the Kursk operation thwarted these plans.

He added that the enemy had transferred most of its troops, including the 76th Airborne Assault Division, to the Kursk direction.

Syrsky noted that the situation is currently difficult. Fifty attempts to storm the occupiers are recorded daily in the Pokrovsky direction.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, admitted that some unit commanders had been submitting false reports about the situation at the front to the higher command .
