In June, Russian occupiers struck with barrel artillery at the village of Pishchane, a suburb of Sumy.

This was reported by “Ukrainska Pravda” with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.

It is noted that the site of the shelling is located less than a kilometer from the regional center.

According to the publication’s interlocutors, it is most likely that the enemy used a 152-mm active-reactive projectile from a 2A36 (“Hyacinth-B”, towed gun) or 2S5 (“Hyacinth-S”, self-propelled gun) self-propelled artillery mount.

“UP” assumes that the strike was carried out from Russian territory: either from the area of the village of Kulbabky, or from the area of the settlements of Gornal and Huyevo.

However, despite the offensive of Ukrainian troops, the Russian army continues to attempt to reach Sumy with artillery.

It was previously reported that Russian occupation troops are advancing in the Sumy region, in particular , the enemy has reached a distance that allows it to strike the regional center with FPV drones .

By the way, Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that Ukrainian troops stopped the advance of the invaders in the Sumy region . The enemy’s “summer offensive” from Russian territory has stalled.
