The Energia plant in Russia has stopped its work after a drone attack

The Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a strike on a Russian military-industrial complex facility, JSC Energia, in Yelets, Lipetsk Region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

This enterprise is engaged in serial production of batteries and accumulators for the Russian army’s weapons, in particular, for universal planning and correction modules that transform ordinary aerial bombs into planning ones with increased accuracy and range. They also produce batteries and accumulators for Iskander-M missile systems, Kh-35U cruise missiles and energy modules for specialized systems.

The strike was carried out by units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces. Explosions were recorded on the plant’s territory, after which the enterprise stopped working. The results of the fire damage are currently being clarified.

Earlier, Pryamoy reported that on the night of Thursday, July 3, drones attacked several regions of Russia at once. The loudest explosions were heard in the Lipetsk region, in particular, in the cities of Lipetsk and Yelets. There is a military airfield in Lipetsk, and a battery manufacturing plant in Yelets.
