The government has introduced a new lending model for young families in the “eOselya” program, with the possibility of reducing the interest rate after the birth or adoption of children. Borrowers will also be able to purchase housing whose cost and area exceed the regulatory parameters by up to 40%.
This was announced by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.
Under the new model, the interest rate will be 7% for the first 3 years, 10% from the 4th to the 10th year, and 12% from the 11th year of lending.
For each child born or adopted after receiving the loan, the rate will be reduced by 2 percentage points. At the same time, it cannot be lower than 0.1%.
Young families will be able to purchase housing with a larger area than the program’s standards. The difference in cost will need to be covered by a personal contribution. Such housing can be purchased in new buildings or houses that were put into operation no more than 3 years ago.
In addition, the government has improved the verification of borrowers’ assets to prevent abuse and ensure that those who meet the program’s conditions receive state support.
According to Koretsky, the changes should help young families immediately choose housing taking into account the future addition to the family and reduce the credit burden with the arrival of each child.
Earlier, it was reported about the expansion of the “eRecovery” program . Internally displaced persons who have lost their homes in temporarily occupied territories will be able to receive financial assistance from the state of up to 2 million hryvnias.
By the way, the head of the parliamentary committee on the organization of state power and urban development, Olena Shulyak, reported that on September 10, the updated “eOselya” program was launched in Ukraine , which is designed to provide real support to internally displaced persons and residents of frontline territories.
