The Estonian Foreign Minister called for increased pressure on Russia following its latest attack on Ukraine.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna responded to the latest attack against Ukraine and called on allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

He wrote about this on social network X.

According to Tsakhkna, Ukraine’s critical infrastructure remains one of Russia’s primary targets. He noted that daily strikes on power plants, ports, storage facilities, and industrial facilities are part of the Kremlin’s systemic strategy.

The head of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that Russia, losing its advantage on the battlefield, is intensifying its campaign against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure.

“This is a deliberate, coercive strategy that reflects both desperation and disregard for international norms,” Tsakhkna emphasized.

He recalled that attacks on civilian and civilian infrastructure are a gross violation of international law, and called for Russia to be held accountable through legal, political, and economic pressure.

Tsakhkna also noted that as winter approaches, allies must increase their support for Ukraine.

“Pressure on Russia must increase, and Ukraine must receive real and timely support to protect its energy system and population,” the Estonian Foreign Minister stated.
