The EU Council has imposed sanctions against two organizations involved in Russian hybrid operations.
This is stated on the official website of the Council of the EU.
The sanctions list includes the media platform Euromore , which the European Union considers part of the Kremlin’s information network. According to the EU, the resource spreads Russian propaganda aimed at a European audience and questions the legitimacy of European Union institutions.
The restrictions also apply to the Pravfond foundation, which the EU considers one of the key instruments of Russian influence abroad. In particular, the structure promotes disinformation narratives about the “Nazification” of Ukraine and “Russophobia.”
The European Union emphasized that the activities of these organizations undermine democratic institutions, the rule of law, and security in Europe and Ukraine.
In total, the new package of restrictions imposes sanctions on 69 individuals and 19 legal entities. They will be subject to asset freezes and EU citizens and companies will be prohibited from providing financial resources.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees imposing sanctions against 121 Russian commanders and 9 religious figures of the Russian Federation involved in the aggression against Ukraine.
As a reminder, the US Treasury Department has issued General License No. 134B, which allows for operations related to the sale, delivery, and unloading of Russian oil and petroleum products loaded onto vessels as of April 17, 2026.
