The EU has allocated another 3.3 billion euros to Ukraine for defense: the funds will be directed to missiles and drones

On Friday, September 18, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced that Ukraine had received another tranche of 3.3 billion euros from the EU under the Ukraine Support Loan program. The funds will be used for priority defense needs.
The head of government announced this on social networks.
The government thanked the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission, and the EU Member States for supporting Ukraine and strengthening the Defense Forces.
This payment was the fourth tranche under the defense component of the Ukraine Support Loan program, designed for 2026–2027.
The total amount of the program is up to 90 billion euros. Of this, 30 billion euros are earmarked for budgetary support for Ukraine, and another 60 billion euros for defense needs.
Earlier, on September 11, the European Commission approved the allocation of 6.1 billion euros to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, in particular for the purchase of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems.
Recall that the European Union will allocate an additional 3.3 billion euros to Ukraine for the purchase of missiles and drones . The funds should arrive on September 18.
