The EU transferred 3.47 billion euros to Ukraine: where will the funds be directed?

Ukraine has received another tranche of €3.47 billion from the European Union under the Ukraine Support Loan mechanism. The funds will be used to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities and finance priority state needs.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Koretsky.
According to him, in total, 45 billion euros are foreseen for Ukraine within the framework of this mechanism in 2026. As of today, 11.6 billion euros have already been attracted, of which 3.2 billion euros are allocated for budgetary needs, and 8.4 billion euros for defense.
“We received another tranche of 3.47 billion euros from the EU within the Ukraine Support Loan. These funds will be used to strengthen defense and finance priority needs,” said Denys Koretsky.
The Prime Minister also thanked the European Commission and the member states of the European Union for their continued support for Ukraine.
“I thank the European Commission and all EU member states for their consistent support for Ukraine,” he stressed.
