On Friday, June 27, the euro reached an all-time high in Ukrainian banks, with the average exchange rate climbing to 49 hryvnias, while the U.S. dollar held steady at 41.85.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

As of 10:00 AM, the black market exchange rate for the U.S. dollar ranged from 41.52 to 41.60 UAH.

At the same time, the black market rate for the euro stood at 49.05 UAH.

The average exchange rates in Ukrainian banks are as follows:

    • US dollar – 41.27 – 41.85 UAH;

    • Euro – 48.35 – 49.10 UAH;

Banks set the euro cash rates at the following levels:

    • PrivatBank – 48.05 – 49.05 UAH;

    • Sberbank – 48.30 – 49.10 UAH;

    • Ukrsibbank – 48.00 – 49.00 UAH;

    • FUIB – 48.40 – 49.10 UAH;

    • Raiffeisen – 48.10 – 48.99 UAH.

It is worth noting that the rising euro exchange rate has a direct impact on prices in Ukraine, as a significant portion of goods and services—especially in the import sector—are priced in euros. This includes:

    • cars;

    • techniques;

    • medical drugs;

    • food products;

    • clothes and shoes.

It also complicates business financial calculations and creates inflationary pressure, as import costs increase.

Recall that the National Bank of Ukraine recorded a new historical maximum for the euro — 48.5084 UAH/€ — setting this rate on Wednesday, June 25.

Earlier, on June 12, the National Bank of Ukraine lowered the dollar exchange rate to the hryvnia, and the euro rose by more than 60 kopecks and renewed its historical maximum.

By the way, the National Bank recorded the highest monthly inflation in 2025. In May, inflation increased to almost 16 percent.
