Today, March 17, the European Union approved a €90 billion loan for Ukraine, overcoming Hungary’s veto.
This was reported by the Bulgarian National Radio, citing sources.
“The loan for Ukraine has been agreed,” the source noted. According to him, there are no plans to review the decision.
As noted, this morning, European Council President Antonio Costa called on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to “adhere to the decision of European leaders adopted in December.”
As reported, Orban is ready to unblock an EU loan for Ukraine of 90 billion euros if the European Commission approves Budapest’s application for a defense loan of 16 billion euros under the SAFE instrument.
