The European Union has increased the quota for Ukrainian agricultural products

The European Union has increased quotas on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products as part of an updated free trade agreement.

This was reported by Reuters. The wheat quota has increased from 1 million tons to 1.3 million tons, which allows Ukraine to export this volume without paying duties.

The quota for Ukrainian sugar has also been increased from 20,000 tons to 100,000 tons, and for barley – from 350,000 to 450,000 tons. In addition, the EU has increased the quota for poultry imports from 90,000 to 120,000 tons.

The European Union temporarily lifted duties and quotas on Ukrainian agricultural products in June 2022 after Russia launched a full-scale invasion and threatened Ukraine’s Black Sea exports.
