The EU plans to open a sixth cluster, “International Relations,” for Ukraine and Moldova. This will take place on July 14 at the EU Council meeting in Brussels.

European Pravda’s sources in the EU reported this decision. Specifically, the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) decided to send an official letter to Kyiv and Chisinau requesting their negotiating positions.

The next step will be the approval of common EU positions on the cluster, which is planned to be completed by July 10.

The opening of this bloc will mark the next stage of negotiations on Ukraine and Moldova’s membership in the EU.

Previously, “Pryamiy” reported on the EU’s decision to open the first negotiating cluster for Ukraine – “Basics.” This cluster covers issues of the rule of law, the judicial system, civil rights and freedoms, and the functioning of democratic institutions.
