The first-ever naval drone battle: Ukrainian Sargan destroys Russian MBeK in the Black Sea

The Ukrainian Navy, together with the Ukrainian Coast Guard, conducted an operation in the Black Sea, during which the Ukrainian unmanned boat Sargan destroyed a Russian MBeK. The Navy stated that this was the first-ever battle between naval unmanned boats.

The Russian naval unmanned boat was discovered by the GUR units. To destroy it, the Navy used a Sargan 3000, equipped with an RWS “Protector” automatic turret of 12.7 mm caliber.

The Navy noted that the operation was carried out in cooperation with the GUR. According to the department, this episode was the first battle in history between unmanned naval boats.

By the way, on the night of August 9, the Unmanned Systems Forces hit three anti-aircraft missile systems, two radar stations on Russian territory, and three more vessels of the Russian shadow fleet in the Black Sea.
