Ukraine’s First Female Tanker Tetyana Kucheryava Dies at 39
Tetyana Kucheryava, Ukraine’s first female tanker, has died at the age of 39. She had been battling stage-four cancer for nine months.

Shortly before her death, Kucheryava wrote that her condition had significantly worsened.
Tetyana Kucheryava began her military service in 2011. In 2015, she became the first female tanker in Ukraine.
The military also participated in missions to return the bodies of fallen Ukrainian defenders.
During her service, Kucheryava received departmental awards from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
