The first snow fell in Ukraine: in the Carpathians it is already -1°C

The first snow fell in the Carpathians. On Mount Pip Ivan, the temperature dropped to -1 °C on the morning of September 22.

This was reported by rescuers from the Ivano-Frankivsk region, publishing a photo from the top.

As of 08:00, it was cloudy, the west wind was blowing at a speed of 4 m/s, and the air temperature was -1 °C.

The photo shows the chapel on the summit of Pip Ivan. Its roof and the surrounding area are covered in a thin layer of snow.

Thus, the first snow in the Carpathians fell in early autumn – against the backdrop of a sharp cold snap that hit Ukraine this week.

We remind you that this week in Ukraine the weather will remain cool and rainy. The heaviest precipitation is expected on September 23-25 . Thunderstorms are possible in some places, and the wind will increase in the south. By the end of the week, it will become drier and warmer in most regions.
