The front is stuck in a dead end: Zaluzhny explained why Russia will get out of it faster

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny believes that the Russians are closer to breaking the positional deadlock that arose on the front after the failed summer offensive in 2023.
He wrote about this in an article for ZN.ua.
Zaluzhny suggested that until there is a way out of this impasse, the enemy, using the tactics of “falling into” Ukrainian positions and “infiltration”, will continue to exhaust the Defense Forces.
In particular, the strategy chosen by the Russian command assumes that combat operations must ensure a level of losses unacceptable to Ukraine, while maintaining constant social tension.
As a result, such actions will lead to the burnout of the forces holding the defense.
In addition, Russia sees a potential way out of the impasse in clearing the “near sky,” which is used by tactical-level UAVs.
“While Russia uses technology and bombards our positions with more and more living people, imposing such tactics on us, we need another path — finding a reliable tool to deter the lethal force of new weapons,” the former Commander-in-Chief summed up.
Let us remind you that the front line in Ukraine has been practically unchanged for over a year. After the unsuccessful summer offensive of 2023 , hostilities are increasingly taking on the features of a positional war – as was the case during the First World War.
