The FSB has accused a Ukrainian rapper of orchestrating a drone attack in the Moscow region.
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has stated that Ukrainian rapper, blogger, and actor Albert Vasiliev, better known by his stage name Kyivstoner, is allegedly involved in organizing the drone attack on a defense plant in the Moscow region.
Russian media reported this.
According to the FSB, Vasiliev, who according to the Russian side is now in Europe, allegedly coordinated the attack through accomplices. The intelligence agency claims the strike was prevented.
The Russian side claims that the attack was planned to use 35 FPV drones equipped with foreign-made explosives and protected from electronic warfare. According to the FSB, the drones were stored in a rented hangar near the plant.
The agency also reported the arrest of a man described as the direct perpetrator. According to the FSB, he allegedly assembled and prepared the drones for launch and maintained contact with foreign handlers. The tenant of the warehouse where, according to the Russian intelligence agency, the drones were stored, offered armed resistance during his arrest and died.
The FSB also claimed that Kyivstoner allegedly acted under the patronage of the SBU, but the Russian intelligence agency did not release any evidence to support its accusations.
Ukrainian public figure Sergei Sternenko responded ironically to these statements.
“The Kyivstoner turned out to be a deeply undercover agent of the Ukrainian secret services and was planning to blow up the Moscow region. No joke. Our elephant. That’s why he asked me about drones on Instagram,” he wrote.
Kyivstoner himself also denied the accusations. On social media, the artist posted an emotional, expletive-laden response, stating that he had nothing to do with the FSB’s allegations and was surprised to see his name appear in the Russian intelligence agency’s statement.
