The FSB tried to introduce its person into the CCC in the Kharkiv region: details

The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent who was trying to get a job at the district CCC in the Kharkiv region to spy on the Ukrainian military.

This was reported by the press center of the SBU.

Counterintelligence foiled the Russian Federation’s attempt to integrate its agents into the structures of the Defense Forces. According to the investigation, the person in question worked as a freelance psychologist and acted on the instructions of the Russian special services.

If employed by the CCC, she was to transmit to the enemy the personal data of Ukrainian soldiers and information about the deployment of units on the Eastern Front.

To carry out the task, the woman arrived from Cherkasy to Kharkiv region, rented housing, and signed up for an interview for the position of psychologist at the local CCC. Before that, she drove around the front-line community in her own car to identify points of concentration of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The SBU documented her intelligence activities, secured Defense Forces locations, and detained the agent until her visit to the Trade Center.

The investigation established that after remote recruitment, the woman’s first task was to adjust Russian air strikes on energy facilities in the Cherkasy region. She traveled to the sites of the attacks, recorded the consequences, and tried to identify Ukrainian air defense positions.

Later, the figure traveled to Kramatorsk, where she looked for spare command posts of Ukrainian defenders. After that, the curators directed her to the Kharkiv region.

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized a smartphone with evidence of contacts with the FSB and ammunition for a small weapon.

Investigators informed the woman of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason under martial law. The court chose for her a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to post bail.

If convicted, she faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It was previously reported that the SBU counterintelligence and the National Police prevented a terrorist attack in the center of Kharkiv and detained a 16-year-old Russian military intelligence agent.

As a reminder, the Security Service detained another agent in the Kyiv region who worked for Russian military intelligence . The attacker was preparing new rocket attacks by the occupiers on thermal power plants in the capital region of Ukraine.
