The General Staff and the Ministry of Defense responded to the incident with the CCC in Lviv: they promise to punish the guilty

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense responded to the incident in Lviv, where during a conflict around representatives of the Trade Union Congress, a crowd overturned a service vehicle of the military. The departments emphasized that attacks on military personnel are unacceptable and undermine the defense capability of the state.

This is stated in official statements by the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.

The General Staff stated that the events in Lviv bear signs of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law. They called on law enforcement officers to conduct a comprehensive and impartial investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

At the same time, the General Staff reported that an internal audit is being conducted into the legality of the actions of servicemen of the territorial recruitment and social support center. If violations are discovered, those responsible will also be held accountable.

The department emphasized that no disputes regarding the legality of the actions of officials or military personnel can justify the use of violence, and the legal assessment of each case should be provided exclusively by authorized state bodies.

The Ministry of Defense also called the attack on military personnel in Lviv unacceptable.

“The position of the Ministry of Defense is consistent – everyone is equal before the law. Responsibility must be met in any case of violence and aggression,” the department said.

The Ministry of Defense added that mobilization remains a necessary component of Ukraine’s defense, although its methods need improvement. The department also warned that hate speech against one’s own army plays into the enemy’s favor and can lead to irreparable consequences.

As a reminder, a conflict broke out in the Sykhiv district of Lviv between local residents and employees of the territorial procurement center. During the incident , the crowd damaged and overturned a service vehicle of the military.
