The General Staff confirmed new long-range strikes on Russia: a plant and military warehouses were hit
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched a new series of long-range strikes on Russian military infrastructure. A strategic plant in the Russian Udmurtia region, fuel and logistics depots in occupied Crimea, and a drone storage base in Luhansk Oblast were hit. Russian media also reported a fire at a logistics center in the Moscow region after a drone attack.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the results of the operation. According to it, on July 27 and on the night of July 28, the Ukrainian military struck a number of important facilities that provide support to the Russian army.
“Ukrainian soldiers struck a warehouse of material and technical equipment and a warehouse of fuel and lubricants in the area of the settlement of Ichki (AR Crimea). A warehouse of unmanned aerial vehicles of the occupiers in the area of Chervonpopivka, Luhansk region, was also struck,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Separately, the military confirmed a strike on the Federal State Treasury Institution “Priority” combine in the village of Borok, Udmurt Republic of the Russian Federation.
“A target was hit and a fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprise,” the General Staff noted.
The military command emphasized that the plant is part of the Russian State Material Reserve (Rosrezerv) system and is a strategic closed-type facility. The enterprise is used as a large state oil depot for long-term storage of fuel, oil products, and fuel and lubricants in case of war or emergency situations. The facility is located more than 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Meanwhile, after the nighttime drone attack in the Moscow region, information has emerged about another facility being hit, Astra reports.
According to the publication, the warehouse of the logistics company 3PL in the village of Koledino near Podolsk caught fire after the attack. The released footage shows thick black smoke rising above the complex. The Ukrainian monitoring channel Supernova+ also reported a strike on this facility.
As The Moscow Times notes, the logistics center, with an area of about 10,000 square meters, provides services for storage, packaging, assembly and delivery of goods for large retail chains and marketplaces. The logistics operator’s clients include retail chains and marketplaces, including Lenta, Pyaterochka, Magnit, Fix Price, Globus, Detsky Mir, as well as Auchan and Lemana PRO.
The head of the Podolsk administration, Grigory Artamonov, confirmed the drone attack in Koledino, but only reported damage to the fence of a private house and a fire in a forest. The Russian authorities have not officially reported the fire at the logistics complex.
The largest distribution center of Wildberries, which has been attacked by Ukrainian drones before, is located next to the affected warehouse. There is currently no official confirmation that this facility was hit during the current attack.
