The General Staff confirmed the attack on one of the largest Russian refineries

On the night of October 23, units of the Defense Forces attacked a number of occupiers’ facilities, including a strategic enterprise.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff.
In particular, Ukrainian troops struck a facility involved in supporting the occupation army — the Ryazansky oil refinery. Explosions and a large-scale fire were recorded there.
According to the General Staff, the Ryazan Oil Refinery is one of the largest in the central part of the Russian Federation and belongs to Rosneft.
“The enterprise’s capacity allows for the processing of over 17 million tons of oil per year and plays an important role in providing fuel to enemy military formations and logistical supply chains for the occupying forces,” the department explained.
It is noted that the destruction of part of the production facilities will affect the Russian army, reducing its ability to conduct combat operations.
In addition, strike drones struck a Russian ammunition depot near the settlement of Valuyki, Belgorod Region.
According to preliminary information, it was destroyed. Detonations and explosions of ammunition were observed in the area.
“The implementation of measures aimed at stopping the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues,” the General Staff concluded.
Earlier it became known that a series of powerful explosions were heard in the Russian city of Ryazan . According to local residents, the cause could have been a drone attack.
