On the night of October 9, the Defense Forces struck the Korobkovsky Gas Processing Plant and the Efimovka linear production control station in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.

This information was confirmed by the General Staff.

The Korobkovsky Gas Processing Plant (Kotovo, Volgograd Region, Russian Federation) is one of the largest plants for the primary processing of natural gas and associated petroleum gas in southern Russia, with a design capacity of 450 million m³ of natural and associated gas per year and 186 thousand tons of wide fraction of light hydrocarbons.

The Efimovka LPDS (Efimovka, Volgograd Region, Russian Federation) is a station serving several main oil and petroleum product transportation lines in the region with a throughput capacity of 50 million tons per year.

Explosions and fires were recorded at both facilities, and information about the consequences of the damage is being clarified.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces are consistently implementing measures aimed at undermining the military-economic potential of the Russian Federation in order to prevent armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff added.

It was previously reported that on the night of October 9, the Volgograd region was the target of a massive drone attack . As a result, infrastructure was damaged and burned.
